Excited!

Three more days to go, and it's Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day. But, that's not the exact reason of me being excited! Lolz. I'm heading South, back to my hometown, Singapore, this Saturday! Yeay! Finally, after a few years of not going back there, I've decided to stay there a little bit longer, perhaps for a month? I'm gonna visit my long-time-haven't-met-best friend! She's waiting for me. Hehex. :D

A month stay alone at Singapore City? Hmm, I wonder what can I do there? I've checked out some interesting places I can visit and do to benefit my free days. I'm planning to brush up on my English speaking and writing skills. So, I'll go to the community library often. Maybe, everyday. Also, I'm going to brush up on my stamina too. I'm planning of going swimming every week! I've just bought my new swimsuit yesterday. Lolz. Hehex. :P

Hope my plan goes well, with Allah's wiling. Insya-Allah. I'm gonna make use of my holidays well and prepare myself for my future. :D

P/S: Happy Chinese Lunar New Year friends! (I don't celebrate Valentine's, sorry!)

Astro! Hot Guys! XP

I've finished my work at Astro exactly yesterday. Hmm. Guess who I've met these three days???

First day : Some Indian artists, whom I never heard of. Privina, my colleague friend told me, he was an artist. Lolz. And when we were on the way back to the office lift after lunch, we met a My FM DJ, Phoebe. Suet Yee were so crazy about her. Hahax. XD! As we were waiting for the bus/taxi to take us to the LRT station to head home, I think I saw Hafiz AF getting off his tour bus, heading back into Astro.

Second day: Hmm. We were too hard working on that day, to hit our targets. I don't remember meting any artists.

Third day: I've finally met some artist I really recognise! Gosh! As we were getting off the lift at the Ground Floor, for lunch, as the lift opens, OMG! I saw Adam C, one of the Hitz.fm on air crew!!! Tall, fair and handsome! Aww, so cute! After lunch. Again it happened in the lift! I saw another Hit.fm crew, Ean, with his masculine body! HOTTT! And my friends told me after we had got out from the lift, that one of the guy standing beside them was the Astro singing competition's champion in 2005/2004. He was kinda handsome too. Lolz.

Anyway, what was the coolest thing to me is, my Boss is Hot! Hahax. Believe me. He is hot! Actually, whenever he explains things to us, we never really listened to him, instead, we only observed him! Lolz. I sound perverted! Hahax. I wanted to capture a pic with him, in fact, all of us wanted it too. But, sadly, he had to attend a meeting somewhere else! :( Nevermind, next time I'll call him for lunch! Hehex. :D

The first day of February!

January is over! A few more months to go, and Insya-Allah, I'll enter a university! Honestly, I can't wait to open the books again and study. Working is fun, but sometimes, doing the same thing over and over again makes me bored! Freaking bored. Okay, let's recap again what course I've been thinking of to take up on.
First choice, Medicine. My dad told me to do med, but NOW, he thinks Dentistry suits me better. Lolz. He's making me confuse. Hmmm... Second choice? Engineering. Perhaps, I'll do Automotive Engineering, because I LOVE Formula 1 so much! Speaking of F1, I'm gonna follow each and every race this season! I MUST! Hehex. =D Last resort of course I'll pick is Economics, of course. These 3 courses are the only courses that interest me. Other than that, nah. But, wait! Which course should I apply to enable me to get a scholarship? This question gives me headache sometimes. For the meantime, I'll just leave it to my SPM results. If I get good results (Insya-Allah), I'll choose Med. If not, I'll try my luck in other courses. Hope to get one!
So, let's pray for the results to be good!

Boredom!

I'm freaking bored man! There is nothing interesting to do at home. I really wish I'll get a good job and work until I get a placing in any university. Lolz. Nothing is more boring than watching TV, playing stupid games on fb and relaxing. Gosh! Give me something to do. I really miss those schooling days now. The homeworks, the teachers in school & PTM and the most important part is my hyper-friends both in school and PTM. Hehex. Miss ya guys! :D

I wana do some charity work, that perhaps can bring some joy in people's life and mine too. But, it seems it won't work out well. I had a talk with my mum earlier in the evening, and all she said when she heard volunteering at MERCY and Red Cross is, the organization is not good la, bla bla bla. Lolz. I don't think I'm that fit anyway. So, maybe I'll just give up on this dream. Hahax. XP

Yesterday was great!

Me, my sisters, my eldest bro and my soon-to-be sister in law went for a whole day outing. MAPCU-MQA Education Fair at Mid Valley. Hmm, it was kinda cool. At least, I managed to get some explanation from KYUEM, the college where I wana enter. As it is the college which focuses only on A-Levels for scholars from big organizations as JPA and MARA, that prepares undergraduates to top universities in UK, US and Australia.

Anyway, after that, we went to eat at McD. Then, we did a little window shopping. Next, we headed to KLCC for shopping time. Hehex. I bought a pair of office trousers, for my soon-to-get job. :P Hope to get that job. For dinner, we went to the usual steak house we always go to, in Kg. Baru. I would say, yesterday was kinda cool, cause we did alot of camwhore, everywhere, especially in the car! Hahax. :D

Boring.

As I had nothing to do at home, what I chose to do was, POSTER PAINTING! Yay. At first, I sketch JB's poster, then mine. After that, I did some of my sisters' name posters. Lolz. This is my hobby. If I don't paint, then I'll draw some weird girl with a weird hair style and a weird clothing. Hahax. I'll show you some of the pics of the weirdos later. I did this since primary school. I have a file labeled : Drawings and Lyrics. As both of them are my obsessions. :D I managed to draw all my family members' name posters, exactly today. You can view the pics in my album in Fb.
Anyways, friends. If you wish to order one from me. Do so. Email me or fb me. Lolz. :D Doing some side business. Hahax.

Volunteering?

Okay. Since I'm still job-hunting now, why don't I join a society or something to fill up my boring time. Hmm? *tink* All of a sudden, this idea pop out of my brain. Why not, I join an organisation doing voluntary jobs? Not bad. Now, my job is to find a suitable organisation to join and do some nobel thingy. Hehex. I suppose, by doing stuff, like helping people, would help myself gain some or a little knowledge about the other side of the world, that I've never got a chance to know of. So, friends, who wana join me, being a volunteer in Malaysia's Red Crescent Society?

But. WAIT! Am I fit for the job? I heard, volunteers must be very healthy and have an ideal weight. Lolz. I'm underweight! I've to eat up! Eat, eat, eat. Hahax. :D

F1 fever is back!

Super Fast. Anticipating. High-Spirited Drivers. Formula 1 seasons are back! I am eager to watch it live in Malaysia! Can't wait for the Sepang GP to start here. I will go watch it. I promise myself! Perhaps, I'll get myself a few autograph from the famous drivers, eg. Seb, Rosberg and Massa. They are the potential drivers to be watched. The race will start off in Bahrain at 12th of March. The fever will arrive in Sepang at the 2nd of April. In total, there's 19 races in this season.

To the F1 freaks out there, which shares the same interest as I do, let's go watch it LIVE in Sepang circuit this April. I don't care if people say it's a waste of money going there and hearing the sound pollution the cars produce. I'm a F1 freak. I support RedBull Racing team's Sebastian Vettel aka Seb and Felipe Massa from Scuderia Ferrari. Go, Go, Go guys! See you in Sepang! F1 rules! :D

Trust Allah!

Job Issue!

Okay. First, I've search everywhere for jobs for weeks already. I've got jobs. Then, I've agreed to choose a job among the offers I've received. Next, *boosh*. My parents suddenly disagree with my decision, and I had to inform the employer in a short time notice. Why? The reason is, the work hours are too long la, scared I'll be cheated la, and bla bla bla... I don't know what my parents really want from me! Arghh! They are just being over-protective! I can't even buy my own phone with my own money. I wonder, when will they see me as an adult and let me have some space for learning? Then, when will I have the chance to taste LIFE, and grow up, be independent??

What I have to now do is, find a job that could satisfy my parents to the max, instead of satisfying myself?! Duhhh. I'm really pissed off. At least, if they want to disagree, please do it earlier la, not on the last minute. This causes trouble to people okay! So, friends, give me jobs! XE!

The weighing scale will increase soon. :D

I'm underweight, as my friends know it. Lolz. Since I've started work last week, I've ate more than I usually do back then in school. I wonder what's happening to me. Perhaps, I've got my long lost appetite back! Hehex. Every single day after work, I'll grab some junk food to munch on, eg Ice-Cream & Chocolate Bars! @.@ I think I'll be broke soon. Wonder why I say this? Hmm. I'm starting to have the urge of buying things that are expensive and branded. It's not like, I've worked for years and have lots of saving. :P! So, I must, MUST, contol, myself . Avoid shopping malls! Hehex.

Anyways, I was in the midst of checking out about fashion. So, I've found this one useful site to assist me in fashion! Check this out :http://www.noubikko.com/! ^.^

Honor Society - Don't Close The Book On Me <3

In chapter one, you were my summer crush
Chilled at the beach from dawn to dusk
Under my umbrella

In chapter two, it got more serious
Changed from you and me to them and us
Oh, we felt like the autum leaves
But the leaves got swept away
And the rain bled us off the page

Please don't tell me this is the end of the story
Don't close the book on me, don't you close the book on me
We've gone our separate ways, we'll meet up on another page
Don't close the book on me, don't you close the book on me

In chapter three, went off and chased the dream
To get your ghost that's haunting me
It was scarier to be without you
But I know that in the end
Need some time to take a pen
And write a chapter of my own

Please don't tell me this is the end of the story
Don't close the book on me, don't you close the book on me
We've gone our separate ways, well meet up on another page
Don't close the book on me, don't you close the book on me

Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh

Please don't tell me this is the end of the story
Don't close the book on me, don't you close the book on me
We've gone our separate ways, well meet up on another page
Don't close the book on me, don't you close the book on me

Their songs totally melted my heart! Aww <3! I love the song titled "Don't Close The Book On Me" the most! Not forgetting other cool songs, like "Where Are You Now", "Over You", "Here Comes Trouble". Check out their songs. They totally ROCK! Hehex. :P!

*Warning to my friends: Do not mock JB anymore! I love The JONAS BROS! <3

Jobs pouring like rain.

I've got myself a job as a data entry clerk in a company. That is a great thing, as it's my first job. So far, the job makes me restless and of course, it's experience enriching. I've already mastered the huge photocopy machine, and well, the company's software. Okay. This is what happened on the first day of work.
I went out early in the morning, to avoid traffic jams in KL. I arrived at MC around 7.45am. I've went up to see my new boss. Apparently, she came at 9am and I've to wait for her. In the meantime, I went to the cafe. I started work. Then, suddenly my hp rang. I've got a call from an employer of one of the 30++ jobs I've applied for in jobstreet.com. About a few minutes after that, I've got another two calls from other employers. The weird thing is, when I was struggling finding a job, there wasn't a single job for me. And now that I'm working, jobs seem to pour onto me.
Anyway, this job is going to end this friday, because it's a temporary job introduced by my bro. I'm going to work at TS starting next week on 18Jan-23Feb. The pay is a satisfactory. So, I've decided to take up on this job. I'm going to be a promoter for cheongsam, as the chinese new year is approaching near. Lolz. It sounds very weird. CheongSam??! I'm sure this work will give me more restless days, as it's from 10am-10pm.
To friends whom wanna check me out at work. You can come to the concourse level and find me at one of the booths there. Hehehex. I'll be working non-stop 18-23. No off day! XD! Be sure to buy one of the clothings. Hahahax.

Who I Am - Nick J and The Administrations!

I want someone to love me
For who I am
I want someone to need me
Is that so bad?
I wanna break all the madness
But it's all I have
I want someone to love me
For who I am

Nothing makes sense, nothing makes sense anymore
Nothing is right, nothing is right when you're gone
I'm losing my breath, I'm losing my right to be wrong
I'm frightened to death, I'm frightened that I won't be strong

I want someone to love me
For who I am
I want someone to need me
Is that so bad?
I wanna break all the madness
But it's all I have
I want someone to love me
For who I am

Hey!

I'm shaking it off, I'm shaking off all of the pain.
Breaking my heart, breaking my heart once again

I want someone to love me
For who I am
I want someone to need me
Is that so bad?
I wanna break all the madness
But it's all I have
I want someone to love me
For who I am

I want someone to love me
For who I am
I want someone to need me
Is that so bad?
I wanna break all the madness
But it's all I have
I want someone to love me
For who I am

Yeah, who I am.

Life is Fine?!

Let's forget about those issues. Let's move on. :D!

Okay. Currently I'm still busy finding a good and suitable job for myself. Frustrations and depressions always happen, yea it does. We don't always get what we want. So, what's essential for me now is patience. I know I'm a little fussy when it comes to picking and applying for a job. But, this is important, as it can affect me both emotionally and physically. Lolz. I'm a weak girl, physically, but I'm one tough girl when it comes to emotions.(Honestly, there are times I become a MEAN *bitch*!) That's because I never kept my emotion problems to myself. Thanks to my most understanding sisters ever, and not to forget my best friends and my parents, of course! They are great listeners, and they give me their honest & sincere opinions which had helped me go through my LiFe learning processes all this while.

Let's go back to the topic.

Being a teenager isn't that easy. It doesn't matter, whether you are a child of a multimillionaire or an average kid who lives a simple live, you still have to go through those daily problems. Money isn't everything to me! I don't need millions or maybe billions of money to be happy. What I need most is the honesty from mankind and the never ending blessed life from Allah. Money won't follow you to the afterlife, so why not we enjoy Life to the Fullest, I mean without much involvement of money. Let the money work for you, don't ever work for money! Life is to be enjoyed, to be cherish, to be appreciated. So, don't wait for your dreams to come true, go out and get it done! I promised myself to not be a slave of money, and I'll get it done.

Sometimes, you feel that you had really know a person after being friends for quite some time, but the fact is, you don't know them! No one, I mean NO ONE, will truly understand another person's real character in this world, because the world is a very very very complicated place to be in. Hmm, whatever it is, I'm sure we all will be great leaders of the future, if we could understand people well enough. Anyway, I don't think anyone will understand me, because I'm one COMPLICATED girl. :D

Super Food!

Beauty comes from within.

Scientific skin care, lotions and potions...they're all great, but by eating ‘super foods’ for healthy skin you'll not only look younger but you will feel better too. Below I’ve listed eight ‘super food secrets’ that you can incorporate into your diet which will help erase lines, keep your complexion glowing and give you beautiful skin :

*    Egg Whites for protein to produce collagen. Egg whites have long been known as an immunity booster. Recent studies show that egg whites are a great source of zinc. Zinc is an essential mineral that keeps the skin young, firm and vital. If you're zinc deficient, all the skin care applications in the world won't cover basic healthy, youthful skin.

*    Pomegranate to soften your skin. A glass of natural, pure pomegranate juice is great, but try to have at least a cup of pomegranate seeds - not just the juice. This fruit is packed with Vitamin C. The juice in pomegranate seeds contains both ellagic acid and punic alagin. Ellagic acid is a compound that fights damage from free radicals. Punic alagin is a super nutrient that helps the body to preserve collagen. Collagen is the connective tissue that makes your skin look younger, smoother and soft.

*    Olive Oil for a healthy glow. Have at least one tablespoon of olive oil a day. Olive Oil has "good fat" and also contains heart healthy omega-3s, which improve your circulation, leaving skin rosy and supple.

*    Watermelon for a dewy complexion. Eat as much as you like of this healthy, sweet fruit. Watermelon is rich in Vitamin C, potassium and lycopene - ultimate antioxidants - which help to regulate the balance of water and nutrients in cells. Hydration is the secret to vibrant, healthy, youthful looking skin and this super food secret is the key to unlock your inner beauty.

*    Blueberries to smooth fine lines. Blueberries are truly a super food. They contain more fibre and antioxidants than any other food. Eating at least half a cup daily to give your skin protection from skin damaging free radicals that come from over-exercising, emotional stress and too much sun exposure. Blueberries prevent cell-structure damage that can lead to fine lines, wrinkles and loss of skin firmness.

*    Green Tea to diminish brown spots. Drink at least one to two cups per day. Not only is this healthy brew great for your diet and boosting your metabolism, it contains "catechins" - an effective compound for preventing premature ageing and damaging effects of sun damage. Green Tea is rich in antioxidants that fight off free radical damage and may reverse the effects of ageing.

*    Cold-water fish to reduce redness. Eat six, 6oz. portions of salmon, sardines or mackerel per week. Cold-water fish naturally contain omega-3 fatty acids which strengthen skin-cell membranes, and in turn help to hydrate the skin. Adding supplements to your diet will also help with inflammation such as eczema, rosacea and psoriasis.

*    Spinach & kale for skin firming. Eat your green veggies daily! These two super foods contain vital phytonutrients also referred to as antioxidant compounds that help guard against damage from the sun. Try to have at least three cups per week of spinach or kale. These two leafy greens are loaded with beta- carotene and lutein. These two important nutrients have shown to improve skin elasticity and firmness.

The Worst Saturday!

Aha! 19 December 2009 was the worst Saturday to me, so far! I've had worst birthday ever, last year, and now, The Worst Sat! Wanna know what happened? Let's hear my story on the worst day....

First, me and my elder sister wanted to go to Mid Valley for the education fair. We took the bus from the house to KLCC. Thinking that the bus, going to Mid Valley will arrive shortly after we went down the first bus, we waited for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. My sister had lost her patience, so she stopped one of the buses and ask whether there's a bus heading to Mid Valley. I was surprised to hear that RapidKL had terminate the service from KLCC to Mid Valley. We were frustrated and WET!( It was raining heavily that time). So, we decided to end our frustration and take Putra to KL Sentral, then interchange onto the KTM train.
God knows, at the KTM, there were millions of people, mainly foreigners! This was the first time I boarded onto a KTM since 10 years ago. So, I was surprised to see so many people waiting for the train to arrive in another 30 minutes time. When the train arrived, people were rushing into it, as usual. The worst part is, they are so inconsiderate! They won't want to move in, even a little bit in, because they wanted to stay near the door? That thinking is so not practical! Thank God the train masters were there to shout at them, if not I would have to wait for another 30 minutes. I wouldn't want to board KTM train ever again!
We had finally arrived. We had fun at the exhibition, yea. I've got alot of infos from the engineering side. But, currently still thinking about it. Let's hear the story after the exhibition...
We were walking towards the ticket counter. Guess what we saw? Long waiting queues of people~~~! Aha! There goes another disaster. What my sis did was. She went to the machine and try to buy 2 tickets. It turn out that the machine doesn't work well, so she managed to get one ticket and she asked me to try using cents. After a while of queuing up, I managed to get a ticket for myself, yeay! We walked downstairs to wait for train and..... Millions of people are waiting for the KTM! We didn't want to wait for the KTM again, so we decided to go out and take the bus instead. So what if we bought the ticket already! I plan to keep it anyway, as a souvenir. XD!  Once we were walking towards the bus stop, there was the bus! See, the bus is always faster than the trains!

The moral of the story. Don't ever board a KTM train and always be sure to ask bus drivers about the buses of the destination you are heading to. The government should always monitor the public transport, as it is important for the nation and its people! I think my dad should be the transportation minister, because he could most definitely manage a transportation department! I have faith in my dad! I give the nation an assurance of my dad's capability! (Proud of the skills that God had given to my dad!)

Tuesday, 15 December 2009

Finally, the moment I've been waiting for is here!

SPM is over, guys! It started quite well for me, and it ended as I had expected it would... One day before SPM started, 5 little cute baby kittens were born! @.@ My dad said this will bring good luck for my SPM. I thought so too... Hehex XP!

So what's next after SPM? I'm thinking of taking up a part-time job somewhere around KLCC or maybe Great Eastern, because it's easier for me to get there, one bus straight to my work place, that's it! But, the problem is, I don't know what job to apply for. I was thinking of applying for an office admin job or maybe some job that benefits me the most, like a clinical assistant... I need both the experience and the money! I wanna buy lots and lots of things that I've been holding back of buying, because of SPM! Now is the right time for me to enjoy all the money I've saved for since Form 1!

I am keen of furthering my studies in the field of engineering... I hope someday I could stand next to F1 stars like Seb and Lewis, fixing their F1 cars! Insya-Allah this dream could be mine to hold! But wait, my dad really wants me to be a medical doctor or at least a dental surgeon... How could I crush his high hopes for me?? See, now I'm totally confused! What I'll do is, wait for a scholarship, and when offers come, I'll do Tahajud prayers, and then I'll decide from there on...

For the time being, I'll enjoy to the max, because I ain't going to go through any textbook for this meantime...Let's hang out pals! Let's go for movies and shopping! @.@!

Things You Didn't Know About Drinking Water! (from HSI Daily)

8 x 8

Recognize that equation? It's the widely-touted recommendation for water intake: at least eight glasses per day, eight ounces per glass.

But when a couple of University of Pennsylvania (UP) researchers in the US, reviewed studies that investigated myths surrounding the 8 x 8 advice, they were surprised to find that there's no known source for the recommendation.

And they're not the first to discover a cold trail.

A few years ago, Dr. Heinz Valtin, of Dartmouth College went looking for scientific evidence to support the 8 x 8 dogma. In the August 2002 issue of American Journal of Physiology, Dr. Valtin wrote: "I have found no scientific reports concluding that we all must 'drink at least eight glasses of water a day.' On the contrary, there are publications that state the opposite."

The UP team took Dr. Valtin's work a step further. Actually, four steps further ...

Four busted water myths

All quotes below are taken from the UP report, published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. (For those who skipped medical school, nephrology is the branch of medicine that focuses on kidney health.)

MYTH ONE: Increased water intake helps remove toxins from the kidneys.

FACT: Water does have some impact on substances cleared from the kidneys, but "current data are insufficient to assess the clinical significance of these observations." One study found that increased water intake actually lowered a type of filtration rate used to measure kidney function.

MYTH TWO: Increased water intake curbs appetite by increasing satiety.

FACT: "There is surprisingly little evidence regarding this issue. None of these studies makes clear whether drinking a large volume of fluid over the course of a day will decrease the number of ingested calories."

MYTH THREE: Increased water intake improves skin tone.

FACT: "One study suggested ingestion of 500 ml of water increases indices of capillary blood flow in the skin. To summarize the conclusions of other more exhaustive reviews: There is no clear evidence of benefit from drinking increased amounts of water."

MYTH FOUR: Increased water intake prevents headaches.

FACT: Only one trial was found that examined the effects of water on headaches. When 15 migraine patients were randomly assigned to increase water intake or placebo for 12 weeks, patients in the water group had a small but statistically insignificant drop in the number of hours with headache. Based on this result, the authors note that the water/headache-prevention link deserves further research.

Back to the source

Meanwhile, Dr. Valtin believes he knows where the 8 x 8 myth got started.

The Food and Nutrition Board (FNB) of the National Research Council recommends an intake of one millilitre of water for each food calorie ingested. For most people, this adds up to about 64 to 80 ounces of water per day. But the FNB recommendation also states that most of that water intake is achieved when eating prepared foods. So when the FNB recommendations were originally released, maybe someone missed that additional detail and jumped to the 8 x 8 conclusion.

That's Dr. Valtin's theory, and he's sticking to it.

Great Song With Great Meaning!

First of all, I would like to wish all my Muslim Friends SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!!! Next, to the Chinese,  HAPPY MOONCAKE FESTIVAL!!!

At first, me and my whole family were suppose to go back to Singapore on the night of first day of raya... But, apparently, someone broke his promise and delayed it until today! Fine, I have no mood to celebrate raya anymore! We only celebrated raya on the first day and no more after that...! I have the worse raya ever this year! Raya doesn't seems to be a happy eid for me this year! Duhhh...I'm pissed off again! Hope next raya won't be so pathetic! Haiz...+.+!

Looking Forward For The Third Week!

Today, the second week of trial SPM is over! I'm really looking forward to do Chemistry and Physics papers, because both are my favourite subject! Hehex...@.@! Not forgetting about my superduper Economics ^.^! Sejarah papers were not really hard and not easy too....It's okay for me...Hmm, let's see whether I can really score in Physics and Chemistry next week...

I'm actually damn tired now...But, I still want to continue writing my blog for today, because maybe I won't be able to write a post next week...Haiz...Tuitions are making me becoming RESTLESS! I really think that I've lost much weight this month, as I've fast and did my solat tarawih everyday! All I've done is only done for Allah and to seek for Allah's blessing...Allahu Akhbar, Allah The Almighty!

Anyway, today there's Formula 1 GP on...So, I'm really eager to watch it! Wish Vettel and Webber luck! <3 F1!
